00:00They melted down last night like no other.
00:03I mean, it was disgusting.
00:04I thought their defense evaporated.
00:06I thought they got tired.
00:08I thought they got shell-shocked by the Halliburton shot.
00:12Once he dropped that shot, two or three or otherwise, the game was over.
00:16I thought Indy had them right where they wanted them.
00:20I think that they were playing to prevent losing, right?
00:23Like, that was almost to prevent defense at the end of that thing,
00:26which was got them in trouble, and they had some empty possessions.
00:29They made a couple of buckets.
00:30I want to give the Pacers credit for, I think, taking that game.
00:34But that was not a great last few minutes.
00:37They were just playing not to lose, and that will get you in trouble.
00:40And that's not who the Knicks have been.
00:41They've been a good clutch team all playoffs, and they weren't on Monday night.
00:47And this is the game they're going to regret.
00:49Yeah, I said earlier the same words, except I did say they did play to lose.
00:53They played to lose in the last several minutes of that game.
00:58They played to lose.
00:59I took the Pacers, even though I'm a giant Knick fan and diehard, and I go to the Garden.
01:06I'm completely on the take for the Knicks.
01:08But I have said for three months, the Pacers are the most dangerous playoff-built team in the East.
01:15I said they can beat anybody.
01:17I said they will beat anybody.
01:18I said they'd win round one, round two.
01:20I said they're going to win this round.
01:22I think they're better than the Knicks.
01:24I think they're 10 deep, even though they can use 12 up to players.
01:29I think they're 10 deep, two rotations that can annihilate anybody.
01:33I think they're flat out better than the Knicks.
01:35And everyone says the Knicks have the best starting five, and I'm like, you know, my ass.
01:39They do.
01:39Are you worried also about just wearing down a little bit?
01:43Like, games are every other day.
01:45They were every other day at the end of the last series.
01:47At what point does this physically start to catch up with the Knicks where the Pacers, I mean, guys don't play more than 35 minutes generally in a game.
01:54They don't have to go that deep.
01:55A little different last night with overtime, but they don't have to go that deep.
01:59And if they don't have to go that deep, it's an advantage as the series goes on every other day and grinds them down.
02:06But I am – look, I think the Knicks are tougher.
02:09I think you can come out of that with positives.
02:12Brunson got wherever he wanted to go on offense.
02:14Towns had a great game.
02:16Mitchell Robinson played well.
02:17They didn't close that thing.
02:19But I think there's a lot you could take out of that game and say, man, we could still win this series.
02:23They have got to win game two.
02:25And I think kind of do it in a decisive enough way to give themselves confidence.
02:28I think if they lose game two, it's over.
02:31I think it's already starting to smell like it's over because you cannot do something like they did and not benefit from it.
02:40Like what is the number?
02:40Somewhere around 75% of teams that win game one go on and win.
02:45And to be down 17, 14, 9, you know, 7, and then all with under a minute, 9, 7, and you still win the game.
02:55I mean, it's all I need to know that they can, look, they have been the kryptonite of the Knicks.
03:00They've been a pain in the Knicks' ass for 35 years.
03:05Yeah.
03:07And it's in itself.
03:08It believes it belongs here.
03:09Look, they were in the conference finals a year ago.
03:12They believe this is their turn, that they have taken a step forward, and they're playing with that confidence,
03:17and they play with it until the final buzzer, which is, again, how many teams down 14 with under the rollover right there?
03:26Almost everybody, right?
03:27Like nobody really comes back.
03:29Coaches are pulling guys to get them rest for the next game or whatever.
03:33Pacers believe they can win anything up until the last minute, and that confidence and that ability to score,
03:39their offense is really dynamic.
03:41That offense can win them a lot of games.
03:44You know, I have watched the Knicks not guard Miles Turner for about three or four years now.
03:50I have watched the Knicks not guard T.J. McConnell for about three or four years now.
03:56And, I mean, T.J. McConnell was shooting layups last night, and he's like six foot two.
04:00I mean, this guy was shooting layups like nobody was on the floor, like he was warming up in a warm-up line.
04:05It was embarrassing.
04:06They have never guarded Turner.
04:08They let Turner shoot threes like he's at the free-throw line.
04:11He was five of five his first five shots.
04:14I thought their defense on Naismith in the fourth was ass-mustered.
04:18I thought their defense on Halliburton was three feet short of even being able to tell your girlfriend you love her.
04:25I mean, honestly, they just were three feet short of any guy.
